Anyone who has fallen into bread baking, maybe during the pandemic or possibly through a TikTok rabbit hole, has at least heard of the Mother Dough; a live fermented culture of fresh flour and water that you keep alive and use for each loaf. My dough, Shania (yes of course as in Shania Twain) began as a recent birthday gift from my dad and has resulted in this ongoing project journal following each round of baking and my thoughts on how I'm doing :)
